How Does Sublimation Work?
Sublimation is defined as the transformation from a solid state into a gaseous one. In the dye sublimation printing process, ink undergoes a conversion into a gaseous form, which then permeates the fibers of a garment.
The sublimation printing technique necessitates the use of advanced printing machinery capable of precise measurement and application of the gaseous ink. These specialized printers are designed exclusively for sublimation printing. Once the gaseous ink is infused into the garment's fibers, it is allowed to cool.
During the cooling process, the gaseous ink transitions back into a solid state, resulting in the fiber adopting the color of the ink. Remarkably, the colored fiber retains most of its original characteristics.
